A property that used to belong to the self-proclaimed Archdruid of Cornwall has gone up for sale after he passed away last year.

The unusual house, known as Seven Sisters - located in St Merryn, near Padstow - was the former home of Edward Prynn, an eccentric yet spiritual man known for creating a giant stone circle in his garden, like a mini Stonehenge.

Prynn claimed to have had a mystic encounter at the age of nine and was drawn to the power of the rocks.

He started to install them in 1982, with the last piece added in 1999 to celebrate the total eclipse

The granite stones were also given names and meanings.

For example, The Angels Runway, The Wedding Stone, Rocking Stone, Judgement Stone, Healing Stone and a Green Stone from Cataclew at Harlyn Bay.

Prynn also created a ‘Hall of Fame' in honour of those that inspired him - such as Martin Luther King, William Shakespeare and Christopher Columbus.

Prynn passed away on December 3 2021 at his home at the age of 85.

There is also an underground chamber located within the gardens built on granite. 

As for the property itself, it is a three-bedroom, one-bathroom detached bungalow believed to have been built in the 1970s
